Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Prepare the sub-base — Excavate to 100–150mm depth. Install compacted MOT Type 1 or crushed stone sub-base (minimum 100mm). For grass fill, finish with 50mm of topsoil. For gravel fill, bring stone to 20mm below surface level.
2. Lay a geotextile membrane (recommended) — A weed-suppressing membrane beneath the mesh prevents weed growth and keeps gravel or soil in place. Overlap joins by 300mm.
3. Roll out and click together — Connect panels using the interlocking edges. No tools or fixings needed. Work row by row across the area.
4. Secure the perimeter — Use U-pins, timber edging or kerbing to hold the outer edge and prevent shifting under traffic.
5. Fill the cells — For grass: fill with topsoil, level, and seed or turf. For gravel: fill with 10–20mm aggregate just below the top of the grid.
6. Allow establishment (grass fill) — Keep off for 4–6 weeks while grass establishes. Gravel fill can be used immediately.
